There are three main places you’ll want to visit regularly: recipes, resources, and articles. These offer the information you need to make your health and wellness journey a success. Additionally, you’ll find our shop helpful to make easy, clear decisions on clean foods and choose only the most important tools.

Recipes

The recipes on our website are some of the most valuable pieces of content we offer. All of our recipes are formulated to support your journey on the Nutrifitx System. That means they’re created with metabolic health and gut health in mind. Our recipes are typically low glycemic, high in minerals and antioxidants, and normally do not contain any ingredients that may harm the gut microbiome. Most recipes are also gluten and dairy free.

Now, while our recipes are designed with the Nutrifitx System in mind, part of that system is balance. You shouldn’t only consume health foods. In an ideal world, following the System 24/7/365 would be great! But the reality is, in our modern world, food is culture, bonding, and experience. Memories are created and good times are had around all types of foods. Think: the holidays, birthdays, even sports events.

It’s unhealthy for you to only eat “health” foods and always avoid your favorites. Not treating yourself to something you truly enjoy or time with loved ones actually decreases the chance of success in most people. You can easily become so hyper-focused on your food that you miss out on other areas of your life.

A healthy body is able to heal and recover from a couple of harmful ingredients or toxins here and there. This is why we always promote an 80/20 approach. If you’re making healthy choices 80-90% of the time, your body will be able to heal and recover from the 10-20% of unhealthy choices you make.

For instance, let’s take a donut. A donut is a delicious treat that most of us love and remember from childhood. It’s also a common breakfast for people on the go – coffee and a donut. There isn’t anything inherently wrong with eating a donut – they’re delicious and they trigger all the right brain receptors for satisfaction and pleasure. If a donut is your go-to breakfast, you may eat anywhere from 7-14+ donuts per week. That’s 7 days of weight gain, blood sugar spikes, toxins… the list goes on.

But, what if you ate 1 donut a week? The donut will still have the same effects on your body, but it will happen once a week instead of daily. Your body is well equipped to recover from a donut once a week, but the effects of eating a donut every day compound and degrade your health. Long term, eating a donut every day wreaks havoc on your body – short term, a donut is an enjoyable treat.

If you are prone to binging or “falling off the wagon” when you diet, treating yourself is a great (and fun!) solution to gaining weight and rebuilding unhealthy habits.

Now, our recipes are definitely a little healthier than a donut 😉 but you will, at times, find a few ingredients or dishes that don’t follow suit as closely. Some are a little higher on the glycemic scale, and some may contain ingredients we wouldn’t normally recommend. That’s okay! It’s all about balance. To stick to the system, simply make sure to plan and time your meals according to the Nutrifitx Scale, the color coding system, and our meal timing guidelines – and always maintain balance.

We work with you to help implement or fine tune the system for your own unique situations.
