How to Lose Weight on the Nutrifitx System (NO dieting required!)

The Nutrifitx System is our signature health and wellness program that teaches you how to transform your life and body without dieting. Now, if you think dieting is the only way to lose weight, you’re probably confused… How can you lose weight without going on a diet or burning tons of calories?

The Nutrifitx System offers a method for effortless weight loss. That isn’t to say that following the system won’t take effort… What that means is if you make choices based on the Nutrifitx System, your body is going to debloat, release inflammation, and burn fat, and you’ll actually improve your metabolism. (Most diets slow and deteriorate the metabolism.)

We focus on teaching you how to eat to support the health of your body. A healthy body DOES NOT want to hold on to excess fat. We know this, because excess fat:

  • Limits the cardiovascular system
  • Weakens your immune system
  • Increases estrogen (and throws off the balance of many hormones)
  • And more.

There are so many signals that the body will give you when it’s unhappy. These are signals from your body that something needs to be healed and we need to make better choices. If you simply treat the signals, the root cause will never go away. If the root cause is holding on to excess fat, then it’s a simple fix. And that’s what we teach in the Nutrifitx System.

Following just the principles of the system will help you improve your body composition, boost your energy, and help you reach and maintain a healthy weight.

But what if you have specific fitness or physique goals?

While loosely following the Nutrifitx System will help you maintain a healthy weight with an improved body composition, it doesn’t always get you to a specific place. After reaching the initial goal of losing weight and improving their health, many of our clients are ready for the next step: dialing in your body composition.

Body composition is the fat to muscle ratio in the body. This is why two people can be the exact same weight while one looks fit and toned and the other looks “soft.” The Nutrifitx System encourages you to pay close attention to your body composition – we do this with body measurements and a scale, but the number on the scale is never the focus. It is possible for you to gain weight and decrease your pants/dress size; and it is possible for you to lose weight and look less fit. It happens ALL THE TIME.

Reaching a specific body composition or physique requires a little more work, which is why we offer two weight loss and health methods in the Nutrifitx System:

  1. Intuitive Eating
  2. The Goal-Specific Method

Neither of these two methods are inherent in most people, which is why it can be difficult to fine tune your body to your vision. Intuitive eating is the gold standard in the Nutrifitx System. If you can eat intuitively, you are GOLDEN. However, while you may think you’re eating intuitively, most of us actually eat emotionally.

The goal-specific method serves two purposes:

  1. If you are eating emotionally (like most people), using the goal-specific method can ease you into understanding and decoding your body’s signals. It will teach you how much you should be eating and what it feels like to be hungry, full, or overfed. It will also help you slow down and recognize how the foods you’re eating make you feel. This can help you identify intolerances, inflammatory foods, or foods that just don’t digest quite right. Following the goal-specific method gets you looking at what you’re eating on a daily (or even hourly) basis, so you get acquainted with your body.
  2. It can help you reach your goal (whether that be gaining or losing weight) in a healthy way. This is a modest approach to controlling your weight and body composition through tracking your foods and choosing quality options that align with the Nutrifitx System. You can use this method to build muscle, burn fat, get lean, improve your appetite, and more.

The System gives you step-by-step instructions for intuitive eating, the goal-specific method, and even transitioning from goal-specific to intuitive eating.

By using these methods combined with our exclusive food-by-food timing guide, you can accelerate your results. You don’t need huge deficits or surpluses, you need a moderate, healthy, sustainable approach that results in permanent success.

Our formula for weight loss and body recomposition is designed for permanent results. The key is sustainability. So, let’s take the example of weight loss.

To lose weight, you create what’s called a “calorie deficit.” And typically, these are highly aggressive deficits made through increased exercise and decreased food intake. The more aggressive your deficit, the more rapid your results.

HOWEVER… (This is the important part…)

When we lose weight rapidly we regain that weight just as rapidly if not more rapidly. This is because the approach is unsustainable. Either:

  1. You’ll be so hungry and deprived that you binge and you can’t stop. This is your body telling you that you’re starving and encouraging you to eat more. When you finally do eat more, your body begins to store fat. This is a survival mechanism. The human body is all about self-preservation (staying alive). If your body thinks it’s starving, it’s going to store fat for the next bout of starvation. This is the typical cycle that most diets will put you in – whether that’s due to decreased calorie intake or eliminating a food group.
  2. Or, if you are headstrong enough to maintain the diet long term, your body will start giving out. You’ll get more injuries, your body won’t recover from even the smallest amount of effort, you’ll feel low energy, you’ll be moody, your brain won’t work correctly, your hormones will be thrown into chaos… and that’s just a FEW of the effects.

When we don’t prioritize the quality of our food we see a decreased quality of life.

Yes, you may lose weight eating ultra-processed junk foods, but these foods are loaded in salt, sugar, toxins, chemicals, unhealthy fats, and more. Taking these things into your body:

  • Increases and worsens the appearance of cellulite
  • Decreases the quality of your skin and hair
  • Worsens function of various organs in the body
  • Weakens the immune system
  • Cause you to look years older than you actually are – or worse, than you actually feel.

The only way to create a deficit with high calorie, ultra-processed foods is to starve yourself. You can’t have a fast food meal that’s 1,000 calories or more without skipping other meals. So you’re wreaking havoc on your body in so many ways. What’s more is that a rapid weight loss approach also increases your set weight. Your set weight is your body’s comfortable weight – the weight your body can easily maintain.

What does this mean for your weight loss efforts? Well… if your original set weight is 150 lbs, then through dieting you reach a weight of 120 lbs. You go back to your regular routines (because a diet never tells you when the diet is over or what to do next), and slowly but surely, you reach a weight of 160 lbs. So now your body gets comfortable at 160 lbs and can easily maintain it. Your set weight has increased 10 lbs. What happens when you enter another weight loss cycle is that it’s harder to lose weight at 160 lbs than it was at 150 lbs. And if you go back to a typical rapid weight loss approach, the cycle begins again only increasing your set weight further and making weight loss even harder.

The two methods in the Nutrifitx System eliminate this weight loss cycle and make it easy to reach and maintain your ideal body shape and size.

It’s a slower approach and requires much more effort, but the result is sustainable for the rest of your life. (Think: PERMANENT weight loss and/or physique transformation.)
